Is it normal that when I activate the ANC function, I hear a static "beep" on the right ear cup (for about 10 seconds)? The beep disappears after a while, but reappears as soon as I play audio or switch ANC off and on again (only when connected via Bluetooth).

I know and use the headphones, mostly with ANC. For the price, incredibly good and versatile.
I have NEVER experienced the problem you describe.
I would report the obvious damage to Digitec - should be replaced without a problem.
