Is it possible to create a daisy chain with the Dell P2419H downstream using the P2425HE? Do you then connect the P2419H to the P2425HE via HDMI and the P2425HE to the laptop via USB-C?

Helpful answer

It is not possible to create a daisy chain with the Dell P2419H downstream by connecting the P2419H to the P2425HE via HDMI and the P2425HE to the laptop via USB-C. Daisy chaining is not supported via HDMI. Instead, you need DisplayPort, USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode or Thunderbolt to create a daisy chain.

To realise a daisy chain, the P2419H would have to be connected via DisplayPort, which is not possible with this model as it does not have a DisplayPort connection. Alternatively, you could connect the P2425HE directly to the laptop via USB-C and then include another monitor that supports DisplayPort in the daisy chain.

According to this Dell forum it is unfortunately not possible:

I'm not sure if the answer is correct. According to Dell, the P2419H has a DP IN (just no DP OUT) and could therefore be connected downstream via DP to the P2425HE.
