Is the additional fan really optional or a must? Does it really bring much or is it more of an advertising gimmick? Because other cards also cool well with 2-3 fans.... Thank you

I own the 3070 myself, I tested it with and without the fan. It doesn't make a big difference, the only thing that improves with the fan is clearly the air flow of the whole PC. But it only makes a difference of 1-4 degrees.
