Is the output tray really manual only?

I own the printer and think it's great. But the output tray... There are jagged tracks visible on the top that look very much like a gear drive, and the resistance when pulling it out also suggests a drive. It's quite fiddly to get the thing out every time you press it.

Unfortunately, the output tray is really only manual¨. If you forget it, the display shows: Open output tray manually. Details: Press OK. Of course, the output tray must also be pushed back manually. Actually, it's a pity, otherwise it's really a super printer in every respect!
