Is the Tamron 18-400 Canon compatible with the Canon M5 with Adappter EF-M / EF and EF-S? Does the autofocus still work then?

I have recently been using the Tamron 18-400 on a Canon EOS M50 with adapter. AF works - and very quickly. I assume it will be no different with the EOS M5.
