Isn't it the case that if I charge a battery faster (galaxy s7 edge in my case) that it loses life? Merci

Yes, that is basically correct, because the battery is additionally stressed and gets warm. But nowadays it is often the case that "time is money".

PS: Your charger, which was supplied with the S7 Edge, also charges your smartphone quickly. You would have to deactivate the corresponding option under Device maintenance -> Battery -> 3-dot symbol at the top right -> Advanced settings -> Fast charging via cable.
