Question about ASUS Xg-U2008

It's just stupid that a 10GB port has to be used for the uplink. This leaves only one 10GB port for the downlink. If I want to equip several devices with 10GB via Ethernet, this is not possible with these switches.

Yes, that is the case. Normally not all PCs or NAS are already on 10GB. If the entire local network is to run on 10GB, then it also needs corresponding switches.

Then you can use something like this: MikroTik CRS309-1G-8S+INL (9) or something like this: Edimax Pro Edimax XGS-5008: 8 Port 10Gbps Smart Switch (8)
If you spend enough money, you get what you want.
