My question concerns the operation of the mouse. Is it possible to reprogram all 3 buttons for the thumb or is the frontmost Aim button fixed?

All buttons except wheel engagement (behind the wheel) can be programmed. Excellent overall quality.

Yes, you can. Only the button at the very top in the middle is reserved for changing programmes. If you want, you can even reassign the left and right mouse buttons.
