Running on the mainboard .- Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 16GB, DDR4-3200, DIMM 288 pin and if so only limited to 2666?

I assume so. At least when I chose the RAM modules, I made sure that the clock speed was supported, i.e. the 2666. According to many videos on YouTube, I should have gone for a newer CPU socket and thus a newer processor architecture. That, at least, is another consideration. There are configuration tools online that check the compatibility of the components, which I would recommend before buying so that you can identify exactly such potential problems.

I have exactly this combination, i.e. the same mainboard and RAM, these run at 2666MHz (very good), usually more than sufficient, for extreme gaming the mainboard is not suitable anyway, I would then buy a more expensive one (up to 3200Mhz).
