The description says material: metal / aluminium, what is the housing really made of?

The housing is made of plastic.

That's not easy to answer because you can't tell from the colour of the casing what's underneath.
But I assume that it is probably made by die-casting, and aluminium is the best material for that.
The designation metal / aluminium will mean that the case is made of metal, namely aluminium!
By the way, I am still convinced of the PLX-500!
