However, I am afraid that the infrared sensor for the remote control will be covered on the Sony XR-55A80L TV, despite the feet being in the soundbar position. What should the dimensions be if the feet have been fitted in the soundbar position? Someone came round and did this for me. But if the infrared sensor is just covered, it doesn't make sense to me, then this soundbar position is useless because it's not high enough. Does anyone have this TV/soundbar combination from Sony or a soundbar at the same height as this TV? Thank you very much for your help.

I have the Sonos Arc and it fits between the wide feet by about 5mm and just covers the infrared sensor without obscuring any of the picture. The TV can be controlled without any problems when it is switched on. You just have to hold the remote control a little higher when switching it on/off.
