Digitus DisplayPort to DisplayPort Splitter
Unfortunately, the description is not clear enough for me. I would like to use the DisplayPort to DisplayPort splitter to operate two external monitors on my notebook. My notebook supports 2 x DP. Therefore my question again: Can both monitors be operated as external monitors or is only the content of the notebook monitor mirrored? LG stefan
Hello Stefan
I assume we are talking about Windows 10? Then both are possible.
Then you can use the splitter to operate two external monitors on one DP port of your NB. Depending on the performance of your graphics chip, you can then operate all three monitors in mirror mode (they all show the same picture), in extended mode (each monitor has its own desktop) or mixed. For a video wall mode (all monitors are combined into one big picture) you need additional software with Windows 10.
Attention: Older notebook chips do not support all modes. Ideal: At least DP1.2 with MST support.
Does that help?
