What, please, is the difference between this and the download version that can be downloaded from Adobe? (https://helpx.adobe.com/de/x-productkb/policy-pricing/student-teacher-edition-orderfulfillment.html) Pay CHF 91.90 to get the same thing on a CD?

You need the product code on the CD packaging as proof to get the serial number for unlocking.
In addition, you need a confirmation from the educational institution where you work/learn/study. You can do all this online.

Witschr has actually already written everything! Personally, I find the Acrobat procedures rather confusing and not immediately recognisable and if the product for downloading is the same and is also called "Acrobat Pro 2020", then it is certainly one and the same. The installation procedure and activation is the same whether via CD or download.
