What software do I use to play Blue Rays? Are there any low-cost or free options?

VLC does not play AACS/BD+-protected Blu-ray discs by default. Unfortunately, there is no free solution sanctioned by the BDA for this - this is diametrically opposed to their interests. If you don't care, you can of course install the appropriate plug-ins and keys, but this is not entirely legal.
Officially licensed players unfortunately all cost money or bombard you with advertising...

I use the Leawo Blu-ray player and am satisfied with it.

Good day!

Basically, all media programmes can be used. I personally prefer to use the VLC player.

Kind regards.

The VLC Player is free and can (probably practically) play all formats and also has no problems with (exotic) codecs.
