Samsung is a South Korean company. I don't know where the hard disk was manufactured. The hard disk is very good. I first installed it in a tower. When this tower ended its existence, I bought a Lenovo Tiny. I couldn't install the hard disk here - so I connected it with an adapter and continue to use it as a hard disk for documents and pictures. It works without any problems. I can only recommend the product.
