A seal like this can also break during normal logistical use... I wouldn't worry about it. You have a 5-year warranty either way, so any effort (return shipping, etc.) is unnecessary for such a long warranty period ;)

No, the seal wasn't broken on mine either. If you didn't buy it in the "clearance" section. I would send it back and ask for a new one.

No, it's not normal, because the seal is there so that you can see that no one has tampered with it.
