Question about Apple TV 4K (2nd Gen)
Where can I find a list of currently available apps on the web? Or are these all Apple TV 4K compatible apps from the Apple App Store?
There is no such list, but there are certainly restrictions, only what can be installed with Apple TV will also work with it. As a rule, a lot from the Apple Store. Sideloading is guaranteed not to work with it.
In addition to Apple TV 4K and Google ChromeCast with Google TV, there is also the Nvidia Shield TV Pro or TV (2019 models). Both of these are also excellent players.

The Nvidia Shield also has a really good AI upscaler that can also upscale non-HD signals to 4K, which neither Google TV nor Apple TV can do.
And don't forget, all Google TV compatible devices can also use Apple TV.
