Would you recommend this or the Samsung Odyssey G8 S34BG850SU? Apart from the sync technology, are there any differences? This monitor is 1000 nits, 750 nits brighter than the Samsung Odyssey. In my eyes, theoretically the x times better monitor. What is your opinion?

The 1000Nits is the maximum brightness at 10% of the total image (bright spots in HDR content) - Both have the same panel.

However, I would rather go for the Alienware:
- Better connectivity.
- PiP and PbP as well as other functions that the G8 does not have.

Reasons for G8:
- TV functions
- Integrated speakers
- nicer

Good comparison of the Alienware DW(F), Samsung G8 and MSI screens (All the same panel):

Both use the same panel, the AW3423DWF is cheaper and has very similar features. The Samsung Odyssey has a few extras including speakers and tizen smart TV OS (although that can be seen as a disadvantage). If you’re hesitating I’d suggest getting the Alienware and saving a few hundred chf.
