This product is handcrafted from the amazing natural material raffia. Raffia fibers are derived from palm fronds, and all raffia products come from Madagascar, where the story of the material began. Our raffia baskets and houses were some of our very first products. The production takes place in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar and supports more than 300 families.

Since raffia is a natural material and the products are handmade, each item may vary in size, which is also reflected in the color. This means that no product is identical to another, which we believe adds to its charm. When exposed to direct sunlight, the colors may fade over time. The color of the raffia products may bleed when in contact with liquids.
