Instructions for use | 1 Preparation - Cleaning: Cleaning - Before applying the adhesive, it is recommended to use LOCTITE® SF 7063/7064 to degrease and clean surfaces. 2. preparation - activation: Use activator LOCTITE® SF 7240 or LOCTITE® SF 7649 if the curing speed is too slow due to passive metals (stainless steel, aluminium and coated metals) or low temperatures (below 5 °C) (see diagram "Curing speed depending on activator" in the technical data sheet). 3. application: Apply liquid threadlocker to the joint area of the screw connection. For manual adhesive application, the use of a peristaltic hand pump is recommended in order to achieve uniform adhesive dispensing. 4th application - through hole: First screw in the bolt, then apply the threadlocker to the exposed thread. Screw on the nut and tighten to the correct/required tightening torque. 5th application - blind hole drilling: Apply product to the lower third of the blind hole. 6. assembly: Mount and tighten. If several screws are fitted, they must be tightened to the required torque before the product has reached hand-tightness. 7. disassembly - hand tools: Disassemble using normal hand tools. Note: Use LOCTITE® LB 8040 Freeze & Release for disassembly of corroded or seized parts. |
