A notebook from Peter Pauper Press from the Bookbound Journal series – each cover features a work of art. The design is a reproduction of the gilded lacquer from a 19th-century bookbinding shop, created for an illuminated Persian manuscript. The original design was made from delicate layers of lacquer, a shellac coating that was then carefully polished to a shine, and subtle gold leaf applications. The cover is rigid, embossed, and opalescent, and the entire notebook is sewn. The notebook includes a ribbon bookmark. The lined pages are made of high-quality acid-free paper.
