Can I also use the Karup Design Luxus for a sofa bed, or is it flexible enough or so stiff that it always rattles away?
difficult to say. i don't think so, so it's probably not that suitable. the mattress is quite heavy and can only be folded up with difficulty. it may well be that it then always slips away.
