I have just connected the bulb and when I switch it on and set the brightness from 1% to 100%, the bulb makes a quiet but, for me, unbearable high-pitched noise. When I switch it to 0%, the noise disappears. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Simply a defective light bulb? My ancient E27 Hue Colour bulbs from 2016 are never audible...

Hmm. I can't hear any noise despite having good sound engineering ears, haha. For me, the cause sounds more like the voltage. As another user has already said, this can be heard with a dimmer, for example, if it regulates the voltage to a lamp that should not be dimmable with a conventional dimmer - such as Hue. However, as it is not really clear whether the problem could also be coming from the lamp, I would personally still try to replace the Hue lamp before you have to call an electrician.

There should not be a noise. It could happen if you are using the bulb in a lamp with a built in dimmer. Hue lights can only be used in lamps without dimmers.
