quick question. not sure if it's rechargeable or battery operated. can you put normal soap in it, not Simplehuman brand? what about normal dish soap? thanks

The sensor dispenser runs on 4 AA batteries (not included), not rechargeable batteries. You can use normal liquid soap and washing-up liquid as long as they do not contain exfoliating particles.
