Unfortunately, the nearest socket is about 10m away from where I want to put the lamp. I want to pull the cable through the skirting board so that it is not visible. Unfortunately, the Hue extension cable is not enough either. Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe solder a longer cable to it?

You can "splice" a cable and extend it that way. I suggest you go to an electrician and he will "splice" a professional extension for you. Length 10m is no problem.
