What are the approximate dimensions or diameter of the mirror? Can the cable/adapter remain permanently connected so as not to be dependent on the battery?

The diameter of the mirror is approx. 15 cm. Once charged, the battery lasts for several months. You rarely need the cable.

The supplied cable is not pretty, respectively not clean to install. For aesthetic reasons, I do not recommend a permanent connection or otherwise I suggest at least the use of cable strips.
