The good silver-black dehydrator from Balter shares many key features (including dimensions, number of shelves) with the other equally good candidate from the same manufacturer. For a slightly higher price, it has a timer and display as well as acoustic signals.
The Balter can convince with very good performance in dehydrating and is also economical in consumption. Other plus points are the expandable, dishwasher-safe shelves and the recipe book. However, the loud operating noise is annoying.
