The thermostat can be mounted on the radiator without any intervention in the heating system and without tools. It is powered by two AA batteries, which can provide energy for approximately 2 years. The radiator thermostat is ready to use immediately thanks to a pre-set heating profile, which can be manually adjusted at any time if needed. Individual temperature profiles with up to 13 changes per day are possible. This way, Homematic IP only heats specific rooms when there is a real need. Setup can be done flexibly on the device itself, via the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point), or through a browser-based interface (in conjunction with a CCU3 central unit). Alternatively, the smart thermostat can also be operated without a central unit. Through the app, the radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system. The cloud solution allows for temperature adjustments at any time from any location. For those who prefer to keep data local within their home network but still want to benefit from the advantages of a smart home system, setup via the CCU3 central unit is available (no longer compatible with the CCU2 central unit).
