The plug-in thermoelement may be used in conjunction with the standard DIN EN 14597 (DIN 3440), tested temperature control and limiting devices, in heat transfer systems according to DIN 4754. Utilizing the Seebeck effect, it can be employed for temperature measurement in the operating medium air. Therefore, the thermoelement is particularly suitable for applications in heating, furnace, and apparatus construction.

As a double thermoelement 2x NiCr-Ni K according to DIN EN 60584 (Class 2), it is designed for temperatures from -35 to +800 °C. The connection head in design Form B (M24 x 1.5) is made of aluminum die-cast and can withstand ambient temperatures up to 100 °C. The 15 mm thick protection tube is made of stainless steel 1.4571 and has a 40 mm long tip reduced to a diameter of 5.5 mm. The stainless steel material protects the measuring element against chemical influences and mechanical damage. The installation length can be variably chosen between 50 and 460 mm using the movable stop flange. The thermoelement is exclusively intended for temperature measurements in gaseous media (air).
