We have never cooked jam with it, but often make risotto and polenta and temper bread dough. There is no need to take breaks, it really is like a hotplate, but accurate to the degree!
you need a gigantic travel bag. i can't remember the outside dimensions of the box, but i remember that i barely got it through the open door. It's probably a cube of 1x1m or so... lots of styrofoam inside :)

Call Kenwood customer service. Send in your Galaxus purchase confirmation by e-mail and you will receive a customer number. Then you have to log in to the Cooking Chef Club website and order the German edition there. It was very easy. Have fun with Cooking Chef.
