The one that says "salt" is, of course, for salt. Have you also read what it says in the question "Is this also suitable for salt? It clearly says "This question was asked about a different variant: Paris (12cm, pepper)". With the salt version, there is no question as to whether it is for pepper or salt.

The degree of grinding can be adjusted at the top of the brass screw. Loosen the screw, the pepper is ground coarsely, tighten the screw, the pepper is ground finer. I bought the mill to replace the old one, which lasted 27 years.

No, we do not recommend using this pepper mill for salt, because the material is coated differently from salt mills. If you use salt in it, the risk of corrosion is increased.
