As opposed to a question, this is more of an information to any user looking to buy this model who has had an older model or new users regarding Sodastream gas cylinders (old and new): On their website: https://sodastream.ch/fr/lechange-de-cylindre/ They exchange the cylinders without any problem and at home as well (via the mailbox). They have even introduced a system of exchanging empty cylinders for full ones, and old (screw-in) cylinders for new (click-in) ones for those who change models. So no unnecessary waste and no need to "throw" your old or empty bottles in the bin either. This way it's cheaper, currently a new bottle is 32.00 on galaxus while on their site via exchange it's 14.- (2x cheaper) and it avoids additional waste as well as the overproduction of these bottles, moreover after 2 fillings the delivery is free so what more can you ask for? If only everyone would learn more about the products they buy before shouting that it's bullshit and not ecological..., it would already be a step in the right direction. If a Galaxus administrator is reading this text, it would be wise to put this information in bold on all Sodastream products, because it is the only brand that offers such a management system for its customers. Stop throwing away your gas cylinders while saving money and time!!!
