We have never used the cleaning solution from ecovacs. Migros, Coop etc. And it works brilliantly.

I use a cleaning agent from another manufacturer without any problems, but you should always make sure that the cleaner is suitable for wiper motors or other electric wet cleaners. Normal floor cleaners foam and can attack or clog the plastic of the hoses and seals when they dry and are therefore unsuitable! However, the Ecovacs only requires very small amounts of cleaner and lasts for several months with one filling. This puts the higher price of the special cleaner into perspective somewhat.
