Does the press rotate to the other side when pressed?
The unit only rotates in one direction (counterclockwise) (*).
What is the point of the question? Here are a few more experiences:
The "juice yield" is high, probably due to a combination of the shape of the press head, rotation speed (rather slow) and required contact pressure.
The appliance stands perfectly on the kitchen counter thanks to anti-slip feet (no suction cups). The start-up torque is rather gentle, but the appliance should be held with one hand for safe use.
As a left-handed person, I can use the appliance without any problems.
What I like about the appliance
- good juice yield
- Low noise level
- good stability
- clever "leakage protection" (can be folded up; then liquid remains in the collection bowl)
- General impression of quality (plastic does not look cheap)
- no special features during cleaning: I use the appliance at the weekend. I clean the removable parts first by wiping out any remaining solid residue, then by rinsing and washing with soapy water. On Sunday evening, the parts go into the dishwasher with a "hot" programme (plastic parts in the upper basket).
What would I change? The appliance comes with a transparent cover. For easier transport and storage, one could consider whether this cover should not be clampable. In its current state, it slips off quite easily.
(*) I asked my teenager, just for fun, whether the direction of rotation changes when the two-pin plug is plugged into the socket the other way round.
