Does this wok (described here as well as at the dealer) only have a base plate of 15 cm? My induction cooker only lets me use such a small bottom plate on the rearmost hob, and there is definitely not enough space for a 36 cm pan there (there is a wall). Can I really just not use the wok at all on my stove?

Yes it has. I sometimes put it on a larger hob anyway, so that it heats up a bit faster...but it's probably not meant to be like that - if only from the energy loss point of view, as the plate then partly heats up to nothing.

The base of the pan no longer plays a role on the induction hob. The heat is generated in the pan, no heat is lost. I use the wok on the front hobs, as I can't use it on the back either
