I have replaced the old holder with a new one, but screwed it to the wall. In my opinion, it can be mounted with Tessa adhesive tape, which I have already used with other products without any problems. No adhesive tape was included in the delivery, only screws.

I am satisfied with the holder. Used another product in between, but not satisfied. I returned to the old/new Leifheit holder. I also attached it with adhesive tape, full length. It holds well. I didn't want to drill any holes either. It would have been great if Leifheit had included adhesive tape. I recommend using good adhesive tape. Must withstand the weight for a long time.

I don't think adhesive tapes would withstand the stresses permanently. In any case, I screwed them down.
