People keep writing about a strong plastic odour that doesn't go away even after prolonged use. Can anyone confirm this?

You just have to take the oven fries out of the bag before you airfry them.....

I've never tasted any plastic flavour at all.

No, not at all! Not even at first use..., where did you get this misinformation?

In operation since Christmas and the plastic odour was due to the polystyrene. After the first use you can't smell anything.

I have this AirFryer and this one from Xiaomi. I wouldn't describe it as a plastic odour. The AirFryer just smells like that... instead of the oil smell of conventional deep fat fryers, you just have the smell of the strong heat. That's my assessment.

We had a strong plastic odour. However, after repeated use it was no longer noticeable.
