Supposedly, this device is supposed to absorb 3000 watts. Surely that would not be possible in Switzerland with a normal plug? Someone who knows about it says that you should never plug a 3000-watt kettle into a normal socket. Can someone enlighten me?

I used this exact kettle for 6 years in Switzerland with no issues or problems. It has never tripped its circuit breaker or blown its fuse.
