The instructions say something about 86 db volume. That would be extremely loud. My current hoover has around 76 db, which means the Samsung device would be almost twice as loud. Is that on the lowest or the highest setting?

This must be the highest level. We also use the medium level, which we do not find annoyingly loud and the suction power is sufficient for most uses.

Because of the volume, it is on the highest setting. We use it exclusively on the medium and low setting. It is not loud then and sucks up very reliably.
