With this filter, the water flows through the filter at a direct flow rate, unlike with the jug where it has time to percolate. Is the water verifiably "well" filtered?

I definitely find the tap filter better and this waiting time with the jug is eliminated.

Unfortunately, definitely big difference between the two systems. The tap filter cleans (visibly and taste-wise) less well than the jug.
