Hi...I have the R25 Performance. Battery cannot be taken out. It is under the footboard and the box is screwed down. It has a 3-pin plug on the side at the bottom where you can plug in the power supply. They say they have a new 2A power supply unit, so it charges a bit faster. I can't tell you the speed.
