The short answer is: No. The system is interlinked. You can't even start up the watch without an iPhone.

The Apple Watch is not connected to an iPhone, so its functionality is limited, but it can still be used for a number of purposes:
- Health and fitness tracking
- Music player and podcasts
- Mobile payments, with Apple Pay
- Basic apps: Some pre-installed apps, such as the calculator, stopwatch, alarm and calendar, can still be used.
- Siri and notifications
While the Apple Watch can work without an iPhone for some tasks, its full functionality, especially in terms of customisation and app management, is greatly enhanced when connected to an iPhone.
