The optical smoke detector reacts quickly to smoke from smoldering fires. Always install the smoke detector on the ceiling: Avoid proximity to devices that may cause interference, such as dimmable lamps and air conditioning vents (recommended distance about 0.5 m). Test the smoke detector regularly, once a month, by pressing the test button until you hear the alarm sound.
