When exposed to heat, the tubing completely envelops the grip and shrinks. This protects the grip from weather influences and mechanical damage.

Application of shrink tubing: The shrink tubing can be heated with a heat gun, shrinking at a rate of 2:1 when warmed to half its original diameter.
