Rubber buffers are used for the flexible support of machines and components, as well as for vibration isolation. The vibration behavior depends on the compression of the rubber buffers. If the load decreases, the buffers compress less and therefore allow more vibration to pass through (they appear to be harder). Therefore, the buffers should be selected so that they are compressed by approximately 3.5 mm under load.
