Product details
The smoke detector alerts residents on-site to smoke detection with a loud signal tone of 85 dBA and a flashing light. When integrated into the TaHoma smart home system, it can trigger scenarios or if-then programming in the event of a fire. For example, all shutters and blinds can be opened for a quicker evacuation of the house, and lights can be turned on for better orientation. If multiple smoke detectors are placed in the house or apartment, they receive a signal and warn residents in other rooms through their integrated siren. In the event of an alarm activation, there is an option to be immediately informed via email or push notification. The product complies with the product standard EN 14604 and the application standard DIN 14676. The detector can also be used stand-alone without connection to the TaHoma smart home system, but without networked safety functions. The delivery of the smoke detector includes the detector itself and the necessary batteries. Technically, the smoke detector operates on a radio frequency of 868 to 870 MHz. It is powered by a 9V DC power supply and a 3V CR123 battery for the radio module, as well as a 9V block battery for the detector. It is designed for dry living spaces with a protection class of IP 20 and can operate in a temperature range of -10 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius. Its compact dimensions of 120 x 146 x 48 mm make it a discreet yet powerful component of the smart home system. The product is "Smart Home Ready by Somfy" and can be directly integrated into the Somfy home control "TaHoma Switch," which offers flexible smart control compatible with numerous manufacturers for networking home technology. The Somfy Pro app for iOS and Android guides users step-by-step through the commissioning process. Access to home control is also possible via remote maintenance with the customer's approval.
