Question about Thule OutWay Platform 2

Has anyone used this bike carrier with a Toyota Prius Plus? According to the Thule guide, the Outeay Platform 2 does not fit (actually not a rear carrier at all). A roof rack is recommended instead. Does anyone have any experience with this?
