Hello everyone! Is a gateway absolutely necessary or can the "Smart Water Control" be connected directly to the WLAN? I would install the device on the balcony - so it should be within the WLAN range. Thank you very much!

Hello, unfortunately this is not possible. Gardena uses its own transmission method between the gateway and the components such as the Smart Water Control.

Hi Nico, My SWC is 3 metres away from the WLAN as the crow flies and I also have it via a gateway. There's probably no other way...
