How is it possible that a device can be released in 2025 without a USB-C port? The 4 predecessors had it and now suddenly with such a magnetic thing? I would like to upgrade because the device is otherwise a clear improvement, but the charging cable is not an option.

Unfortunately, you would have to tell the manufacturer directly. However, we can understand the objection.

The idea was that there is no battery pack and if it is charged with USB c and someone opens the door, everything goes kaput. So the cable can simply come loose. And possibly saves space in the little thing

The magnet thing is a response to customer feedback. It seems that people have opened the door from the inside or outside with the charging plug plugged in.
