This spectacular transporter was created in 1955 at the request of the successful racing manager Alfred Neubauer, built on the extended chassis of a Mercedes-Benz 300 S and equipped with the engine of the 300 SL. For many years, it was the fastest truck in the world and was exclusively used for transporting Mercedes-Benz racing cars. From 1956 onwards, the racing transporter served as a display vehicle and eye-catcher in the USA and was later scrapped. A perfect replica is now on display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
